I really liked the idea of testing out "inner u" as a space that is supposed to really let you be free from normal social constraints. I think its important that we remember that its a good thing to put ourselves in situations of discomfort as this shows that we really are behaving outside of the usual norms limits of behaviour. It would be good if we tested the limits of what we're allowed to do in "inner u" and then tried to replicate the same things in other more rule-bound spaces to make the comparison between the two as fair as possible. Even if we are ultimately included by people there no matter what we do, this will still tell us a lot about the space and give us something to gauge other spaces against.
Another idea to test whether people really do adhere to the practice of acting freely in this type of space or whether their behaviour is still constrained by their social enviornment would be for one of us to ask people to stop doing whatever they're doing and see if they actually do.
I think we finally have some cohesion between all our seperate ideas now with the plan of focussing on both the audience, the performer and the space so this is starting to look pretty good.
